Recently I've noticed an uptick in negativity and deliberately cruel comments within the book review community. This is something I deliberately avoid in my own reviews, but I also feel that, as both a book reviewer and avid reader, I should be doing something positive to support not only terrific books, but the wonderful authors who give them to us. So, I've decided to start a new project here at the Book Den. Each month I'll be doing a week long Author Spotlight post, which will include cover reveals for upcoming books, reviews of past books, and any other interesting things I can come up with!
During this weeks inaugural Author Spotlight Week we’re celebrating one of my favourite authors, Karla Doyle! We’ll
start off with a tremendous treat: the cover reveal of Karla Doyle’s upcoming
Christmas novella, Gift Wrapped. Later in the week, we’ll also have reviews for
her books Crossing the Line and Icing on the Cake and maybe a few other surprises.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much! It's easy to be positive when I get to read and review such terrific books written by such lovely people. But I'm so glad that I get to be able to do my part in boosting the positivity in the book-reivew world and in spreading the word about fabulous authors and books.
